Dairy Training and Extension Services
Four Weeks Training
With the objective of making the dairy farmers self dependant, six week trainings has been started at all the Dairy Training and Extension Centers. Besides, giving knowledge on different techniques of dairy farm management, the candidates are imparted training in artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis and milk handling etc. Every year, more than 1000 dairy farmers are trained.
Two Weeks Dairy Training Program
The department imparts two weeks training to the un-employed rural youth at the aforesaid dairy training and extension centers of the department. More than 6000 candidates are trained annually.
One Day Milk Producer Awareness Camps
Under this scheme, one day camps are organized in all the blocks. More than 25000 candidates are trained annually
Promoting Dairy Farms.
Institutional Finance
Every year, more than 3000 new dairy units are got established. Institutional Finance of about Rs.200 crores is got established.

5.60 Lakh Subsidy on Automatic Silage Bailer & Wrapper Machine
Need Based Training Program
PDDB can impart any need based training such as Milk Tester, processor , milk procurement secretaries , management committee, members / chairman of milk producer's organisation/ socities.
Dairy Training and Extension Center
Each training center have modern classrom equipped with ICT and AV aids , hostel facilities , library , modern cattle shed and playgrounds are available at centers.
EXPOSURE VISIT
With the objective of updating the knowledge and skill of dairy farmers, they are taken for exposure visit to the successful dairy farms, dairy institutes and dairy education training and research organizations free of cost within the state, outside the state within country and even out of the country.
MILK PRODUCERS TRAINING AND EXTENSION SERVICE PROGRAMME
This programme was launched in the year 2014-15 with the aim of reaching out to the small and backyard milk producers in the villages in the interiors and far of from the main roads. Such milk producers generally remain untouched by the extension services as they neither have the capacity to come to attend the training programmes, seminars and workshop etc. nor the govt. functionaries go to them. Therefore, this new programme has been initiated. Every year 1000 villages and about 80-90000 small milk producers are covered. Monthly programme is advertised in the newspapers and Sarpanch of each selected village is addressed demi officially to make best use of the camp in the village.
